Come down to North Cove Park during Family Fun Fest and make your mark, in chalk that is.
The Lake Stevens Arts Commission hosts budding artists in different age categories to design and create chalk art on the sidewalk.
The contest will take place on Sunday, July 31 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with check-in and registration at noon.
Winners are announced and prizes given at the Aquafest information booth soon after the event is finished. So get your creative juices flowing and your chalk ready.
There is a $10 enterance fee for adults and $5 for children (12 & Under).
Sidewalk Chalk Artists will be given chalk, a 6x6-foot sidewalk square, and two hours to create their winning masterpiece. The theme will be “The Spriti fo Lake Stevens.” Drawings will be judged at 3 p.m. To enter, register at the City Booth on Sunday after 1:30 a.m.
