Small Business Owner Lillian Kaufer announced that she will run for the State Senate. Kaufer had previously announced for the State House but has now decided she can make a bigger impact with a State Senate Campaign. “At the end of the legislative session, the State Senate proposed a sales tax hike while not ending a tax exemption for out-of-state banks. I decided right then that we need more voices for working families and small business owners in the State Senate,” said Kaufer.
While working with her husband on their family business, Kaufer also works as a paralegal defending injured workers and volunteering as a Guardian ad Litem for children in foster care. She also serves on the Snohomish County Performance Audit Committee.
“I’m willing to pay my fair share of taxes but when the State Senate decided to look out for Wall Street while forgetting those of us who work for a living, I decided to run,” said Lillian Kaufer. Lillian Kaufer previously ran for State Senate in 2006. She currently lives with her husband Patrick in Mill Creek. Join Lillian Kaufer at her campaign kickoff on May 28 at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Angel Arms, 230 Avenue B, in Snohomish, Wash.
