It’s time for the Annual Health & Safety Fair. This event is hosted by Lake Stevens Fire and Lake Stevens Police and will be located in the Albertson’s Parking Lot on Saturday, June 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The goal of this event is to educate community members on health and safety tips for life.  There are over 30 different agencies participating this year and each informational booth will have a free health or safety tip for the community.
Lake Stevens Fire Chief Dave Lingenfelter commented, “It is great to see this event grow in vendor participation each year, even during this challenging economy.  Each year we try to add a new dimension and there will be some great tips our community can benefit from at no cost.”

In addition to a wide variety of informational booths, there will be a few food booths including Rotary’s Popcorn, Hawaiian ParadICE, and the Lions’ Hot Dog Wagon.

There are also plans for live music entertainment by Diana Ruiz with her first performance of the day scheduled for 12 p.m.  Activities will include a bouncy house, balloons, face painting and free raffles for both adults and children.  It is going to be a fun day for everyone.

During the Health & Safety Fair, the Lake Stevens Family Center will be accepting donations of general office supplies.  (Reams of paper, packages of post its, labels, file folders, packages of pens and pencils, etc.)  It will all be greatly appreciated and put to good use.

Take time to learn valuable health and safety tips for life.  Save the date and make plans to visit the Health & Safety Fair.
