Some interesting highlights with this new tower are:
• The new emergency department is the size of an NFL football field and has 79 beds. Providence Regional currently has the busiest emergency department in the State.
• Providence Regional’s new Cymbaluk tower is the only hospital in Washington to have an entire floor dedicated to Interventional and Surgical services together on the same floor. Example: Cath Lab now next door to cardiac surgery operating room, if patient is in distress during a catheterization procedure, that patient can now have quick access to a cardiac surgical suite next door. Generally, interventional and surgical ORs are in various areas of the hospital.
• Over $60 million in technology is in the new tower, $25 million in diagnostic imaging equipment alone.
• The new Providence Cymbaluk Medical Tower is the largest building investment in the entire Providence Health & Services five-state, 150-year history.
