The Granite Falls Shop Local Committee and the Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the first annual “Look What’s Local” Business Fair on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This will be held in the empty office space next to the Granite Falls IGA.

Business participants of the event will be present in person to introduce themselves and their business and service, and offer samples of products and offer discounts for those in attendance.

Mayor Saleem stated “The Chamber teaming up with the City to help in keeping our tax dollars here in Granite Falls is very important to the economic stability of our community.”  He further added “This Shop Local Committee is also a part of the Economic Summit meetings that the City of Granite Falls has been hosting monthly to help find ways to strengthen our City during these tough economic times.”

The event consists of 25 booths in which a business participant can showcase their goods and services, and have a demonstration on how dollars spent local stay in Granite Falls to help the local economy.  Attendees can be entered into drawings if they seek out the featured merchants with the grand prize being a flat screen TV.

There will be kids activities, food, music and door prizes.  Please contact Mike Trask 360-691-6733 or Sherri Pribble-Jones 360-691-5411 for further event information.
