The Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at a convenience store parking lot at 128th Street SW and 4th Ave. W that sent two men to the hospital. The incident was reported at 1:41 a.m. today.

It started when two couples in one car pulled into the store parking lot area. A second car with three or four men inside also pulled into the parking lot. Words were exchanged between some of the people in the two cars and an argument started. One of the men in the first car (the car with the two couples inside) had a gun and fired a few rounds into the ground.

A struggle ensued between the man with the gun and two men from the second car. The two men from the second car were shot during the struggle.

One of the men was shot in the hip and arm. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The other man suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. He was taken to an Everett hospital for treatment. His injury does not appear to be life threatening.

Both of the men who were shot are in their early 30s.

The man with the gun is 25 years old. He was taken into custody at the scene. No one else was taken into custody and no one else was injured in the incident.

The shooting is under investigation (including the cause of the argument). There are no additional details to release.
