Folk, country and bluegrass singers and musicians are invited to audition for a new monthly live music series, Hometown Hootenanny, at the Historic Everett Theatre. Auditions are set for Tuesday and Wednesday, October 20 and 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby in downtown Everett. Vocalists may sing a capella or use recorded accompaniment for auditions. Solo artists as well as duos and groups are welcome to audition.

Amateur musicians and vocalists will be featured in each show, and popular performers may be invited to make return appearances. The first show is set for November 20 at the Historic Everett Theatre.
