Detectives from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Collision Investigation Unit have located the suspect vehicle from the Paula STIERNS fatality hit and run collision. This collision occurred on October 9th on the 311TH Ave bridge just south of SR2. Utilizing tips from the public, the DOL database and the internet, they were able to identify the type of car they were looking for and then began searching for the right one from a list of over 1300 possibilities given to them from DOL.
Detectives located the vehicle and its owner in the Sultan area. Subsequent interview of the owner led to the arrest of a 46-year-old female. She has been booked into the Snohomish County Jail for Hit and Run Involving a Death, which is a class B felony.
