EVERETT – The Snohomish County Auditor’s Office will test voting equipment and ballot counting equipment in preparation for the April 27, 2010 Special Election. The testing process is a regular activity in preparing for each election, and all testing is open to public observation.
The accessible voting equipment that will be used in the April 27, 2010 Special Election will be tested on Wednesday, March 31st at 10:00 a.m. at the Snohomish County Auditor’s Office, 1st floor Administration Building West, 3000 Rockefeller Ave, Everett. An official logic and accuracy test of the ballot counting equipment will take place on Friday, April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethany Ballot Tabulation Center located at 1818 Pacific Ave, Everett.
“Comprehensive testing is a significant piece in the confidence and accountability of our elections process. Election equipment testing procedures required by State law and used in Snohomish County ensure our results are dependable and accurate,” said County Auditor Carolyn Weikel.
