A 30-year-old Snohomish area man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle following a stabbing this afternoon in the 14200 block of 69th Dr. SE in unincorporated Snohomish.
Deputies were called to the victim’s condo just after 3 p.m. following reports a man had been stabbed and was lying in his driveway. Deputies and detectives are still piecing together the details, but it appears the victim and the suspect know each other. It is not yet known if the men were arguing, or what else might have happened before the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in the stomach.
Containment was set up in the area and deputies and K-9 looked for the man until someone reported seeing him go into a portable toilet but not come back out. Deputies found the 28-year-old suspect hiding down the hole of a portable toilet located at a nearby elementary school playground.
The suspect was removed from the portable toilet and arrested. He’s expected to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault.
The victim’s condition is not known at this time, but his injuries don’t appear to be life threatening.
