Plan for full closure of SR 522 in Monroe Wednesday night
MONROE – Drivers on SR 522 in Monroe should plan to take an alternate route or allow for delays on Wednesday night, Nov. 3.
Crews will close both directions of SR 522 at the US 2 interchange from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. while they remove striping on the highway. Drivers will be detoured around the closure using 164th Street SE, Fryelands Blvd and US 2.
Also on Wednesday night, crews will close the right lanes of eastbound and westbound US 2 just east of the SR 522 overpass from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. During the closure, crews will permanently remove the westbound U-turn.
This work is part of the SR 522/US 2 interchange – widening and safety project.
