Car –pedestrian accident in Marysville area

On 12-27-2010 around 6:50 pm A 68 year old man was critically injured after being hit by a car while crossing the street.

The accident occurred in the 6300 blk of 33 Ave NE located within unincorporated Snohomish County. Collision investigators stated the man had stepped in front of oncoming traffic while trying to cross 33 Ave NE in a non designated area. The man was transported to a local hospital in Everett with critical injuries.

Investigators from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Collision Investigation Unit conducted the investigation. During that time 33 Ave NE was closed for several hours although drivers were able to detour using side streets. No citations have been issued. The crash remains under investigation.
