The Snohomish County League of Women Voters (LWV) will present a program on groundwater availability and sustainability Thursday February 24, 2011, 7pm, at the PUD Commissioners Hearing Room, 2320 California Street, Everett, WA. A panel of informative speakers will present their topics and answer questions. Doug Wood, Water Resources Hydrogeologist at Washington Department of Ecology will talk about the sources for and status of our various water districts in Snohomish County. Rebecca Wolfe of the Sierra Club Cascade Chapter Water and Salmon Committee will present on water as a human right, water sustainability and issues with privatization of water supplies. Other items of interest include a new bill being considered in the WA state legislature governing the States water program. Bring your neighbors and friends to hear this interesting topic of importance to us all, and bring your questions.
