EASTON – Crews will continue to work at night to make repairs to a five-mile section of Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass next week.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will close a single lane nightly in each direction of I-90 from 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, to 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, between Price Creek (milepost 62) and Easton Hill (milepost 68).

This project is a temporary solution to repair damaged asphalt on I-90 until WSDOT can secure funding to pave this five-mile section of highway.

The speed limit through the work zone will be reduced to 55 mph and drivers are urged to obey the speed limit and “give em a brake.”

Drivers can use the following tools to better plan their trips across the pass:

·         The What’s Happening on I-90 Web page for up-to-date information on construction projects, traffic impacts, and travel graphs and to sign up for e-mail updates.
·         The Snoqualmie Mountain Pass and Travel Alerts websites for real-time travel information.
