EVERETT – Drivers can expect overnight closures on southbound I-5 this week as crews continue work to improve the 128th Street SW and 196th Street SW interchanges.
In south Everett, crews will close the southbound I-5 off-ramp to 128th Street SW for up to three nights Monday through Thursday, Aug. 15-18, for striping work. The ramp will close at 10 p.m. and will open at 5 a.m. the following morning. Drivers will follow a signed detour using southbound I-5, 164th Street SW and northbound I-5.
Crews will also close the on-ramp from 128th Street SW to southbound I-5 on Monday, Aug. 15, or Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping work. Drivers will follow a signed detour using northbound I-5, Everett Mall Way, and the westbound SR 527 ramp to southbound I-5.
In Lynnwood, crews will close two lanes of southbound I-5 near the I-405 interchange Monday through Thursday nights, Aug. 15-18, to complete drainage work. The HOV lane will close at 8 p.m. and the left lane will close at 10 p.m. Crews will reopen all lanes by 5 a.m. the next day.
