“6th Annual Hope Within Luncheon”
Benefitting Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County
Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County (DVS) will be hosting its 6th Annual Hope Within Luncheon Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Comcast Arena in Everett. DVS is proud to announce Rob McKenna, Attorney General for the State of Washington will be keynote speaker for the event entitled “Domestic Violence, Caution: Construction Zone: Hearts Mending.” Kathy Atwood, Chief of Police, City of Everett will be the featured speaker. Doors will open at 11:30am, with program running from noon until 1:30pm.
The Hope Within Luncheon is held annually in celebration of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. The event is a fundraiser for the agency as well as a way to bring public awareness to the issue of domestic violence and its devastating effects on individuals, families and the community at large.
Cost to attend the luncheon is $12 per seat or $100 for a table of 10. As the event is a fundraiser, the agency suggests a donation of $50 at the event but honors donations of any size. Donations received at the event help continue free and confidential services and programs offered by the agency.
