HYAK – Due to dry conditions and fire danger, the U.S. Forest Service has advised the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and contractor crews to cancel tonight’s rock blasting operation on Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass.
Although crews will not be blasting, WSDOT will still close I-90 in both directions from Gold Creek (milepost 56) to the Price Creek Sno Park (milepost 61) tonight, Sept. 15, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. to remove loose debris from the rock slopes above I-90 due to previous rock blasting operations.
