Forums to receive input on budget priorities

The Snohomish County Council kicks off its annual budget process with a series of three public forums designed to give members of the public an opportunity to learn about the budget and to provide input on spending priorities.  “The forums have been a valuable tool in recent years as we struggle with the need to provide critical services while dealing with the realities of shrinking budgets”, said Council Chair Dave Somers.  “It is more important than ever for us to hear directly from the people who pay for and receive county services to help us make the right decisions about what gets funded and what may have to be cut.”

 

The forums are free to attend and open to the public:

·      Monday, October 10, 2010  6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – East County Senior Center, 276 Sky River Parkway, Monroe, WA

·      Tuesday, October 11, 2010 – 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Alderwood Water District, 3626 156th Street SW, Lynnwood, WA

·      Wednesday, October 12, 2010  6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Marysville City Hall, 1049 State Avenue, Marysville, WA
