MONROE – Drivers who regularly travel State Route 522 near Monroe should plan extra time into their schedules tonight. Crews will close one lane of SR 522 at the east end of the Snohomish River bridge to repair a small dip in the road and repave the area.
One lane will close from 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, until 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. A pilot car will direct traffic through the work area, but drivers should expect delays of up to 10 minutes.
This work is part of a larger project to widen SR 522 to four lanes between the US 2 interchange in Monroe and the Snohomish River bridge. Find more information on the project webpage at
