Everett, WA – Providence General Foundation recently received a $36,430 grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound to purchase sleeper/daybeds for each patient’s room in the newly remodeled Pediatric inpatient unit at Providence Regional Medical Center’s Colby Campus.

The grant furnished the new Pediatric unit with 13 sleeper/daybeds which provide a comfortable place for families to sit during the day and then pull-out into a bed so parents can stay the night with their ill child. Between 2009 and 2010, there were approximately 1,400 pediatric patients. This generous donation will help meet the community’s need for families to stay with their hospitalized children.
