SNOQUALMIE PASS – Westbound interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass will reopen at 9:30 a.m. from the summit of Snoqualmie Pass (milepost 52) to North Bend (milepost 34) to let local traffic off the pass. Eastbound I-90 will remain closed due to extreme avalanche danger from North Bend to Ellensburg (milepost 106).

Snoqualmie Pass received 33.5 inches of snow over the weekend and with the heavy rain this morning and more on the way, the avalanche danger remains high.

 The Washington State Department of Transportation closed I-90 at 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, to conduct avalanche control work in several locations.
