Effective today at noon, the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency is lifting the Stage 1 air quality burn bans for Pierce and Snohomish counties.
 
Agency forecasters expect winds to pick up this evening to help disperse air pollution that has built up over the past few days, especially in communities where wood burning is common.
