The Snohomish County Evergreen State Fair is seeking candidates to fill two unexpired terms on its Fair Advisory Board.

The Fair Advisory Board is composed of 11 members – five representing the Council districts in which they reside and six at-large members who may live anywhere in Snohomish County. The two seats open areCounty Council District No. 4 and an at-large position. Both terms expire Dec. 31, 2013.

The Board was created to advise, consult and assist the fair manager in the operation and maintenance of the Evergreen State Fair.  Fair Advisory Board members assist staff with production of the annual 12-day fair, participate in activities during the fair and recommend practices and directions relating to Snohomish County’s largest annual event.

“The Evergreen State Fair is one of our best and biggest family events,” said Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon. “The work our fair board members put into the fair is one of the reasons it’s so successful each year.”

The Fair Advisory Board meets the second Tuesday evening of each month and represents a broad range of interests.
