Plan for overnight closure of westbound US 2 in Snohomish Monday night

Drivers on US 2 in Snohomish should plan to take an alternate route or allow extra time for their trip Monday, Feb. 4
Crews will close westbound US 2 between State Route 9 and State Route 204 at 8 p.m. The highway will reopen at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5. Drivers will be detoured around the closure using SR 9 and 20th Street Southeast. Other ramp and lane closures are also scheduled.
Lane and ramp closure details:
· Westbound US 2 closed between SR 9 and SR 204 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
· Eastbound US 2 reduced to one lane at Bickford Avenue from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
· SR 9 on-ramp to westbound US 2 closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
· Bickford Avenue at US 2 closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During the closure, crews and equipment will install framework on the new Bickford Avenue overpass to US 2. The overpass is scheduled to open to drivers in the fall.
