The Everett Police Department is confirming a body has been recovered from Silver Lake.
At about noon on March 15, 2013, a resident living along the Silver Lake shoreline called 911 to report seeing someone struggling in the water near a boat. Everett Police, Fire and Parks responded to the lake and found a small fishing boat floating in the lake, but no occupant. During the search and investigation, additional information indicating that a male was missing. To aid the ongoing search, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office assisted with an underwater search vessel. The search was called off at dark.
At 8:00 a.m. this morning, March 16, 2013, law enforcement resumed searching for a body. At about 10:30 a.m., the Everett Police Marine Unit recovered the body of an adult male who appeared to be in his mid-40’s.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and took custody of the body to determine identity as well as cause and manner of death.
