Last week, the Snohomish County Violent Offender Task Force tracked down and arrested 25 felons with outstanding warrants during a three day countywide warrant sweep. The sweep netted felons with a variety of outstanding warrants, including failure to register as a sex offender, 1st degree child molestation, burglary, identity theft, assault, and at least one Department of Corrections escapee. The arrests also led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle and the seizure of approximately $3,000 in cash and drugs.
The recently formed Task Force is a focused effort within the county towards apprehending violent offenders with outstanding felony warrants. It is a partnership between the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, US Marshal, Marysville PD, and other county law enforcement agencies. Since January, the Task Force has made over 160 felony arrests.
