

“Expect the best” in Lake Stevens Schools
Lake Stevens School District (LSSD) serves nearly 8,000 students in preschool through 12th-grade. LSSD has a comprehensive high school, an alternative learning high school partnership, a mid/high school, two middle schools, six elementary schools and an early learning center.
The district is governed by a five-person Board of Directors made up of John Boerger, David Iseminger, Paul Lund, Kevin Plemel and Mari Taylor. Amy Beth Cook became Superintendent of LSSD in 2011. Prior to that, she served in several leadership roles, including: Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, principal, teacher and speech-language pathologist.
