The time of small ideals based on religious based bigotry has passed. The people of this great state have cast their ballots to repeat this decree! I would like to thank the progressive voters of Lake Stevens for this accomplishment. The next step is to push for progress on the home front. Remind the city council of what kind of world we are living in. Remind the council that citizens of the city they represent have voted for progress.
Seth Pilkey Lake Stevens Mark Roe is the best choice for Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney
Dear Editor,
During the twenty years I served as Snohomish County Superior Judge, Mark Roe was one of the best prosecutors to appear before me. He always showed good judgment in whom to charge, what to charge, how to prosecute, and what recommendation to make for sentencing. He also showed good judgment while we were discussing expanding the criteria for defendants to enter Drug Treatment Court. The existing criteria only allowed someone with a few prior convictions to enter, but Mark remarked that those with many non-violent crimes probably needed it more. And he was right again. He works well with law enforcement, defense counsel and was particularly protective of the victims of crime. Mark also has a great deal of credibility among the judges before whom he appears. Mark Roe is a professional, experienced felony prosecutor who would lead the Snohomish Prosecuting Attorney’s office very well.
