Residents need to learn to maneuver roundabouts
What is the problem with so many of the residents here, that cannot maneuver through the roundabouts that have been installed throughout the Lake Stevens areas?
There have been accidents, and I have come very close to witnessing accidents, and nearly been involved in an accident.
Perhaps Lake Stevens’ management could set-up classes for drivers who are totally unqualified to be able to use the roundabouts?
They’re obviously confused, and do not realize that the roundabouts are a yield to cars already in the roundabout system, and NOT a stop sign!
Community helps kids get ready for school
Thank you to all who contributed clothing, shoes, and coats to the Sanctuary Ministries back-to-school giveaway. Your donations were awesome.
About 150 kids came and shopped for free, walking out with bags filled with clothing, shoes and coats!
In addition, we were able to supply about 100 school supply kits to kids which were filled with paper, notebooks, folders, crayons or colored pencils, glue, erasers, scissors, glue sticks, and pencil bags.
We also handed out 150 hot dogs and the face-painting booth was busy all day —over 250 people participated.
Remember, we give away clothing, coats and shoes every week through our Care Center so if you have needs you’re welcome to visit every week.
Our Care Center is open Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Sanctuary Ministries is located on the corner of Hwy. 92 and 75th Street NE between Lake Stevens and Granite Falls (15533 75th Street).
You can call our church office at 360-386-9871 for more details or in a couple of weeks visit our brand new website sanctuaryministriesnw.com and find directions or view pictures of the giveaway at that time.
Again, thank you for all of you who made donations to this event.
If you have gently used clothing, shoes, or bedding, donations are tax deductible and can be made at the church during office hours; remember everything is distributed for free to those in need on a weekly basis.
