The police department responded to 435 incidents in the week of November 15, 2009 through November 21, 2009. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Burglary, 11/15/09, 11000 block 20th Place NE
A burglary report was taken when the homeowner discovered her house had been burglarized. The 38-year-old victim returned home and noticed her garage was open, and through the window there appeared to be someone moving. Officers arrived in addition to a K-9 unit. The residence was searched and the suspect was not located. The residence was photographed and fingerprints were taken at the scene. A report was filed for additional investigation.

Court Order Violation, 11/17/09, 2500 block Soper Hill Road
A court order violation report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office to review for a charging decision. Officers were dispatched to a report of a court order violation. Upon arrival, the 50-year-old male victim reported that his estranged wife came to his residence the night before thereby violating the provisions of the order. The victim also reported receiving multiple text messages from the suspect, so he turned his phone off. The victim provided a written statement and the report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.

Domestic Violence (DV) Malicious Mischief, 11/18/09, 2300 block Hartford Drive
A 19-year-old male was cited and released for domestic violence (DV) malicious mischief. Officers were dispatched to a reported disturbance in which the caller stated the suspect had kicked in the door to her residence. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim who reported that she was having a verbal argument with her boyfriend which escalated when he kicked the front door in. The suspect left on foot and was placed under arrest when he was located a short distance from the house. The suspect was issued a criminal summons to appear in court on malicious mischief charges and released.

Malicious Mischief/DUI, 11/20/09, 9300 block 4th Street NE
A 23-year-old male was booked into jail on DUI and malicious mischief charges. Officers were dispatched to investigate an assault complaint. Upon arrival, officers contacted the store manager who reported that the suspect punched out the door window. As the manager and the suspect were working out an agreement to repair the damage, the male grabbed the manager’s phone from his hand and fled the scene in his car. Officers located the suspect and placed him under arrest for DUI. The suspect was transported to the Marysville Jail to be processed for DUI and booked. Once at the jail, the suspect became uncooperative and assaulted the corrections officer. Officers gained control of the suspect and he was booked without further incident.
