Theft 3°/Criminal Attempt, 08/01/2010, 9600 block of Market Pl.
A 20-year-old male and a 17-year-old female were arrested for Theft 3° and Criminal Attempt. An officer was dispatched to a theft complaint where the security officer observed the two suspects attempting to steal several DVD’s. The male suspect admitted that he had concealed the DVD’s but that he had changed his mind at the last minute and removed them. While the officer escorted the suspects out of the store he observed several more DVD’s on the floor board of the suspect’s vehicle. The two suspects admitted stealing them from another store earlier in the day. The female was booked into Denny Youth Center and the male was booked into Marysville Jail.
Possession of Marijuana/Obstructing/Driving While License Suspended 3° (DWLS)/Reckless Driving, 08/3/10, 9800 block of South Lake Stevens Rd.
A 20-year-old male was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Obstructing, DWLS 3° and Reckless Driving. The officer observed the male traveling at a high rate of speed in a reckless manner. The male sped away in attempt to avoid being stopped by the officer. The male was located hiding in the basement of a friend’s house. Upon speaking with the suspect the officer discovered the male had marijuana in his possession. The male was booked into Marysville Jail.
Assault 2° Domestic Violence (DV), 08/03/2010, 300 block 91st Ave. NE.
A 26-year-old male was arrested for Assault 2° DV. An officer was received a request for a civil standby from a 28-year-old female victim. When the officer inquired for the reason for the civil standby it was disclosed that the male and female had a verbal altercation which resulted in him choking her. Charges were referred to Snohomish County Superior Court.
Arson 2°, 08/05/10, 12400 block 20th St. NE.
A 57-year-old male reported that someone had placed a garment of clothing on the door of his business and set it on fire. Both the Police and Fire Department responded to secure the scene and collect the evidence. Upon further investigation several items were located that had been burned or partially burned. The case was forwarded to the investigation unit for further follow-up.
