The police department responded to 534 incidents in the week of Oct. 17 through Oct. 23, 2010. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:

Assault 4° Domestic Violence (DV), 10/17/10, 8200 block of 1st Place SE
A 32-year-old male was arrested for Assault 4° DV. Officers were dispatched to a 911 call where the reporting party locked herself in a room after she had a physical altercation with her husband. Officers contacted the 23-year-old female victim who stated that the male struck her while they were passing on the stairs and almost knocked her down the stairs. The male stated that he was attempting to pull away from her because she was grabbing at him. It was determined the male was the aggressor and he was placed under arrest and transported to Marysville Jail.

Possession of a Dangerous Weapon/Warrant Service, 10/18/2010, 100 block of North Davies Rd.
A 17-year-old male was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and a warrant service for a prior assault. The male was contacted by the officer after he was observed exiting a closed park.  During the officers contact with the male a computer check was performed which revealed an outstanding warrant. The male was placed under arrest. Before the male could be transported the officer needed to perform a search of his person at which time the male disclosed that he had a pair of brass knuckles in his pants pocket. The male was transported and booked into Denny Youth Center.

Driving Under the Influents (DUI) and Driving While License Suspended (DWLS), 10/19/10, 1700 block 83rd Ave. SE
A 30-year-old male was arrested for DUI and DWLS 3°. The officer performed a traffic stop after observing the vehicle cross over the painted line. A computer check was performed which revealed that the male had a suspended license. The officer could smell intoxicants coming from the driver’s breath as he spoke to him, as well as, having bloodshot watery eyes. The male took a voluntary Field Sobriety test and then was transported to the Lake Stevens Police Department where he could perform the Blood Alcohol Test (BAC), both tests revealed he was under the influence. The male was released to a sober licensed driver and charges were referred to the city Prosecutor.

Possession of Stolen Property (PSP), 10/19/10, 3300 block 95th Drive SE
A 25-year-old female was arrested for PSP.  An officer was contacted by a Snohomish County Deputy after he responded to a suspicious call. The homeowner reported that she found other people’s mail in her home. Upon arrival it was determined that the homeowner’s daughter had stolen the mail from throughout the City of Lake Stevens. The deputy stated that she would be taking a police report for Theft and would like us to take a report for PSP. The officer contacted the victims and asked them to write statements. The case was forwarded to the Marysville Court for charging.
