Collision Hit and Run
01/01/12, 91st Ave. and Vernon Rd.
A 60-year-old male was riding his motorcycle southbound on 91st Ave. when a small white sedan failed to stop at the intersection. The 60-year-old male laid his motorcycle down to avoid the collision. The vehicle then ran the light and did not stop; it was reported that the vehicle ran several addition lights. The vehicle was not located, and the case is closed pending further information.
Possession of Stolen Property/Search Warrant/
Warrant Service, 01/02/12, 8900 block of 9th Pl. SE
A 30-year-old male was arrested for a warrant during a traffic stop. Officers observed a large television in the back seat and asked the suspect about it. The male stated that “he just bought the television from a friend”. A computer check was performed, and it was discovered that the television was stolen in an earlier burglary. The male disclosed where he received the stolen property. The officers were granted a search warrant which was served on the males’ friend’s residence. Several items were recovered as a result of the search warrant. The case is still under active investigation.
Robbery, 01/02/12, 300 block of 91st Ave. NE
Officers responded to a robbery with a weapon call involving a male demanding money and indicating that he was armed. Officers arrived within minutes of the call, but the suspect was gone upon their arrival. A description of the male and his clothing was taken. A search was conducted with little results. The case is under active investigation.
Collision Hit and Run/Driving Under the Influence (DUI), 01/03/12, Soper Hill Rd./SR 9 NE
A 32-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DUI). It was reported to dispatch that a male collided with a vehicle at Soper Hill Rd. and SR 9. The male fled the scene, but officers were able to stop the vehicle. The male was processed for DUI and booked into Marysville Jail.
Assault 4°, 01/04/12, 1800 block of S. Lake Stevens Rd.
A group of teens were hanging out in a parking lot when a 16-year-old female assaulted another 16-year-old female. The group dispersed before officers arrived, and the female was transported to the hospital by aid. Due to the amount of people involved, interviews are taking place, and the case is under investigation.
