The police department responded to 638 incidents in the week of February 4, 2012 through February 11, 2012. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable contacts:


Assault 4 Domestic Violence (DV), 02/05/12, 9000 block of 13th St. NE
A 40-year-old woman was arrested for Assault 4° DV.  A male reported that this 40-year-old wife threw a full can of beer at his 13-year-old son after he found her in the garage drinking.  The can hit the 13-year-old in the head, and, as he walked away, she threw it again, hitting his back.  The female was located at a neighbor’s house and booked into Marysville Jail for Assault 4° DV.

Suspicious Circumstance/
Attempted Kidnapping, 02/06/12, 95th Ave. SE
A 49-year-old female reported that her 12-year-old granddaughter was grabbed from behind while walking home from school.  It was reported that the subject came up from behind, put a hand over her mouth, and pulled her against his chest.  The 12-year-old kicked the subject and ran away.  The case is currently under investigation.

Animal Control, 02/06/12, 2500 block of 101st Ave. NE
Officers responded to a request for a welfare check of a 65-year-old female.  While at the residence, officers learned that the home was occupied by two persons and in extreme need of attention.  The inside was a health hazard which included deceased cats.  Officers are working with the Health Department and Adult Protective Services.  The female was taken to the hospital.  

Vehicle Fire, 02/08/12, 1000 block of Lundeen Parkway
A 24-year-old female was driving on Lundeen Parkway when the fuse box in her vehicle caught fire.  She was able to get herself and the children out of the vehicle without injury before the fire eventually consumed most of the car.  

Warrant Service/Obstructing, 02/10/12, 6th Pl. SE/84th Ave. SE
An 18-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding Warrant and Obstructing.  The 18-year-old male led officers on a foot chase after an officer attempted to stop the vehicle he was riding in.  The male was located, taken into custody, and booked into Snohomish County Jail on his Warrant and for Obstructing.

Indecent Exposure, 02/11/12, 12300 block of 20th St. SE
A 28-year-old male was arrested for Indecent Exposure when he exposed himself to a barista and passing traffic.  The male was taken into custody and booked into Marysville Jail without incident.
