With a determination to keep classical music alive and well in the Everett area, members of the now-idle Everett Symphony Orchestra have founded the Everett Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Paul-Elliott Cobbs.  Supporting the players and the music, a board of directors has been formed.

ESO’s 2009/2010 season was cut short in January with no plans for classical performances except possibly a concert in October 2010.

“We just want to make sure our loyal audience still has access to live, professional quality classical music,” said Dr. Cobbs.  “And keep our musicians at the ‘top of their game’ by giving them demanding performance opportunities.”

A spring gala is planned as the kick-off for the new organization, followed by a subscription series of 4 concerts.  Venues and ticket availability will be announced shortly.  Meanwhile please visit our website www.everettphil.org.
