Everett Home & Garden Show Returns for Ninth Annual Show

Extended Hours and Public Wine Tasting on Friday New for 2011!
Who: Everett Home & Garden Show
When: March 4 – 6, 2011 – Open Friday Noon – 8 pm / Saturday 10 am – 8 pm / Sunday 10 am to 5 pm
What: Northwest Washington’s most diverse range of home improvement experts return to the Comcast Arena at Everett, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday, showcasing hundreds of building and remodeling ideas for the home, garden and yard. With the extended hours on Friday, a new element for 2011 is the special public wine tasting, sponsored by Dunn Lumber, which will be held at the stage area from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The local producers of this event are dedicated to featuring businesses based here in the local community.
For the first time ever there will be free public parking available on Saturday and Sunday, courtesy of BECU, in the Snohomish County parking garage, located at Oakes St and Wall St.
Exhibitors and sponsors include Judd & Black Appliances, Dunn Lumber and Snohomish County PUD.
Features of the show include how Snohomish County residents can acquire grants and low interest loans presented by Snohomish County PUD, wide selection of renewable home heating and cooling options from G & S Heating of Monroe, a huge landscape exhibit with a rural focus put together by the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals, and a Kids Corner where kids can do their own coloring with ‘bristles’ hosted by Sherwin Williams Paint of Lynnwood and Certa-Pro painting.
Special guest speakers include Bob Barca, Master Gardener, on hummingbird and butterfly wildlife sanctuaries, Matthew Coates, architect specializing in sustainable design and green building techniques, and Tim Nelson from Fire Mountain Solar, expert on why renewable energy is one of the most worthwhile investments one can make in their home or business. Plus many more!
