Editor / Reporter

The Lake Stevens Journal, an award winning weekly newspaper in north Snohomish County has an Part Time Editor / Reporter position available. Here's your chance to work with a weekly newspaper that makes a difference in the community.  This is a fun fast paced environment with a great small team of people. Responsibilities include: reporting, writing, editing, photography and proofreading.

 This is a part time position requiring some night and week-end hours.

Requirements:  We are looking for someone with strong writing / editing abilities along with excellent organizational skills.  Proficient on Word, accurate typing, 65-70 wpm (minimum), knowledge of InDesign or pagination/design software will prove helpful, must be good with the public, able to take direction and willing to learn, self starter and a team player.  Helpful:  Journalism Degree and/or newspaper experience.
