LIGHTS AND SIRENS
The police department responded to 470 incidents in the week of November 30, 2008 to December 05, 2008. The following is a brief summary of some of the more notable events: Arson, 12/01/08 10000 blk of Lundeen Parkway
An officer was closing the park for the night when he saw and smelled smoke coming from the public restrooms. The officer notified the Lake Stevens Fire Department who entered the building and made sure it was safe to enter. Officers checked the area for suspects, but none were located. It was determined that there was no property damage and the case was forwarded to the detective unit for further investigation.
Theft 1°, 12/02/08, 2000 blk of Vernon Rd
A 43-year-old male reported that his motor vehicle was put on jacks and the wheels had been removed. An officer was dispatched to the location, a police report taken, and the jacks were processed for prints. This case was sent to the detectives for further investigation.
Domestic Violence No Contact Order, 12-02-08, 11900 blk of 22nd St NE
Officers were dispatched to the residence violation of a no contact order. The order was between the 35-year-old male and a 30-year-old female at the location. The female gave consent to the officer to go inside the house, but while the female was talking to the officers outside the male locked them out. After some persuading by the officers the male came out of the house and was placed under arrest and taken to The Marysville Jail.
Assault 2°, 12/06/08, 8700 blk of 8th Pl NE
A 27 year-old female was arrested for Assault 2°. Officer arrived on scene after a complaint came in about a party. The officer observed several people standing in an alleyway. Officers approached the group and discovered that there had been a fight between two females. Contact was made with both females and they disclosed that the fight was over a cup that was part of a white elephant gift. The suspect struck the 28-year-old female with the cup and cut her face. Aid was called and took the 28-year-old female to the hospital. The 27-year old female was determined to be the aggressor and was booked into Snohomish County Jail.
