Lake Stevens Mann has a “Can Do” attitude about giving
PAM STEVENS | EDITOR
Ever wonder what you can do with all that extra change you have lying around? Don Mann, a local businessman, has created The Coin Can Do where your change can make a difference to hundreds of people in need. Mann’s cans come in several different sizes starting with a small soda can size all the way up to a huge oil can size.
“We start with giving to those in our community first,” Mann said. “I see a real need for widowers and seniors that are hurting right now.”
If you are interested in obtaining a Coin Can Do can, just call 425-344-5083 and let Mann and his non-profit organization do the rest. They’ll bolt the can into the ground and make sure that it is safe from thieves. They will collect the coins and give them to those who are in need of assistance.
You can go to their website, coincando.com, to see where and when monies were donated.
“The goal is to have a minimum of 10 Coin Can Do collecting donations to support individuals and organizations in need by the end of 2009,” Mann said. “I am always doing something to keep things going in the community.”
For more information call D.B. Mann at 425-344-5083 or 425-512-8512 or email your comments to dbm@coincando.com.
