Sheriff’s office asks for public’s help in looking for Level three sex offender

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating Level 3 sex offender Eric Eugene Hartwell.

Hartwell is wanted by the Sheriff’s Office for failure to register as a sex offender.

The Department of Corrections said Hartwell left his registered address (18800 block of Smokey Point Blvd. in Arlington) on Friday, March 20, 2009 after removing his electronic monitoring device.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed Hartwell was no longer at that address.

Hartwell had until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 to register with the Sheriff’s Office. When he failed to do so a warrant was issued for his arrest for failure to register as a sex offender.

Detectives say Hartwell is considered likely to re-offend. Anyone with information about his location is asked to call 911.
