As a result of the contract that was negotiated and approved by the Lake Stevens Education Association on Thursday, Sept. 3, the following calendar adjustments have been made for the 2009/10 school year.
One hour late starts are being scheduled for most every Wednesday of each month for Lake Stevens’ students. This regularly scheduled late start will provide teachers time for planning and additional training. At the end of the 2009/10 school year this pilot plan will be evaluated for its effectiveness and impact on staff, students and families.
The late start schedule will begin Sept. 30 in an effort to give
families time to plan as needed for the one hour delay.
