One woman and one man were dead following a shooting in a neighborhood in the 300 block of 119^th Drive SE in unincorporated Lake Stevens.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday someone in the neighborhood called to report a disturbance outside between a man and woman, involving a gun.

As the first of several deputies arrived on scene, she heard several gunshots and witnessed a man fall to the ground. As she got closer, she discovered two bodies on the ground outside.

Aid arrived and pronounced both the man and woman dead at the scene.

Detectives believe the man was the shooter and that this was not a random act. The man and woman apparently knew each other, but their relationship to each other has not yet been confirmed.

The woman was staying with someone who lived in the cul-de-sac, near where the shooting happened. The man did not live in the neighborhood.
