Lake Stevens Aquafest has evolved from a water ski display and competition between friends to a three-day, multiple event, lakeside festival.

In 2009, an estimated 35,000 festival attendees, vendors, sports enthusiasts and entertainment seekers visited downtown Lake Stevens during Aquafest.   2010 promises to be even bigger, as they celebrate their 50th year.

As an entirely volunteer organization, Aquafest relies on the talents, interests and resources of the Lake Stevens community.  The Aquafest Board participates in monthly meetings to discuss the needs of the overall festival and the individual events scheduled throughout the weekend.

Each chairperson gives of their time to bring sporting events, food, arts and crafts, family fun and live entertainment to the area.  Our facilities staff oversees the overall layout, physical and electrical needs, and flow of traffic during the festival.  The Lake Stevens City Staff provides extra security and community good will.

Aquafest recognizes the good work and support of Lake Stevens civic organizations such as, but not limited to; the Lake Stevens Family Center, Boys and Girls Club, Kiwanis, Lions Club, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and Sherwood Center.  They also enjoy partnerships with the Special Olympics and the Boy Scouts of America.

The 2010 Executive Board asks that you consider being a part of the 2010 Aquafest celebration by volunteering, sponsoring an event or donating resources towards the overall success of the festival.

2010 is Aquafest’s 50th year anniversary, and planning is well underway to make this Aquafest celebration a stand out year for Lake Stevens.  Additional information about Aquafest 2010 can be found at www.aquafest.org.
