This year’s Family Safe Downtown Halloween celebration will include a Chili Cook-Off sure to chase away the chill of a crisp October night.

If you make a wickedly delicious chili, you are invited to enter the cook-off contest by registering at the Lake Stevens Family Center. There is a $10 fee per entry –not much for bragging rights for the best local chili. 

A panel of distinguished judges will sample the entries and award prizes in several categories.  Families that are downtown for the festivities will also be able to vote for a People’s Choice favorite by sampling all entries for just one dollar. 

All proceeds from the Chili Cook-off go to support the Family Center’s outreach to local individuals and families through the high demand period of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Local businesses may also support this important work by being event sponsors of the cook-off.  

Sponsorship fees are $100 and include a chili entry and a place on the panel of judges, as well as being noted in our press releases.
