The Washington State Auditor’s Office recently concluded their audit of Snohomish County Fire District No. 22 Getchell.
The fire district is audited every three years. The audit was conducted using a risk based approach covering general areas for the period beginning January 1, 2005 and ending December 31, 2008.
State auditors reviewed financial records, how the district handled surplus equipment, procurement/bid law compliance, and how the district administered the donations it received.
The state auditor’s office report did not include any findings or management recommendations. The fire district Board of Commissioners is very pleased with the state auditor’s report. The Commissioners credit the excellent report to sound accounting procedures, and the department’s highly dedicated and knowledgeable administrative team.
