Former Mill Creek resident Jeffrey Lovick was recently named Los Angeles Police Department Officer of the Year for the Pacific Area Division. Officer Lovick, son of Snohomish County Sheriff John Lovick, has been with the LAPD for 9 years. He currently serves as a field training officer, a critical position responsible for overseeing the training of the department’s newly-appointed officers. “Officer Lovick represents the highest standards of the Los Angeles Police Department,” department officials said. Officer Lovick is a 1991 graduate of Cascade High School in Everett.
