Miss Aquafest 2009 crowns this year’s Miss Aquafest Crystal Wartinger.

The Miss Aquafest Pageant was held last weekend with the optionals event at Team Fitness on Saturday night and the finals program at the PAC at Lake Stevens High School on Sunday.

Twenty-seven girls ages four to 18 walked, performed and interviewed before two different panels of judges for the opportunity to represent Lake Stevens during this year’s Aquafest festivities and at many other events around the state.

These girls were also judged on academics, community service and how much food they collected to give to the Lake Stevens Food Bank. Over 3,000 food items were counted and will be delivered to the food bank this week.
Miss Aquafest Committee Chair Linda Elledge has been organizing the event for the past three years. This year’s event was better than ever.


Little Miss Ashley Krutsinger, Pre-Teen queen Macy Berg,
Princes Queen Isabel Banks, Junior Queen Haley Downey and
Miss Aquafest Crystal Wartinger.



The winners are as follow:
Princess (ages 4-6): Isabel Banks, Queen; Jada Malveaux, first runner-up and Ashley Berginc, second runner-up. Ambassador is Ashley Berginc.
Little Miss (ages 7-9) Ashley Krutsinger, Queen; Kennedy Miller, first runner-up and Victoria Heisel, second runner-up.

Pre Teen (ages 10-12) Macy Berg, Queen: Hannah Krutsinger, first runner-up and Taylor Mann, second runner-up. Ambassador is Hannah Krutsinger.

Junior Teen (ages 13-15) Haley Downey, Queen; Alexis Miller, first runner-up. Ambassador is Alexis Miller.
Miss Aquafest (ages 16-18) Crystal Wartinger, Queen; Holly Bell, first runner-up and Chantel Clifford, second runner-up. Ambassador is Holly Bell.
