The Lake Stevens School District announces important back-to-school dates.

Please mark your calendars for these events which will take place before the first day of school.

The Lake Stevens School District’s Calendar and Handbook for 2010 – 2011 is now online at www.lkstevens.wednet.edu.
Copies will be sent home with every student the first week of school.  If you would like a copy prior to that time, or are a community member that would like a copy, please feel welcome to pick one up at your neighborhood school when their doors open the week of August 23.

For the 2010-11 school year, every Friday will be a one hour early release for teacher collaboration, planning  and training.  
This decision was made after conducting and reviewing a parent community survey which took place last spring.  Results of the survey indicated that parents overwhelmingly preferred a consistent day, and the day of preference was Friday.   
This is a pilot program and will be reviewed at the end of the academic year.

Friday, September 17 will be the Grand Opening of the new LSHS Stadium at the LSHS Football  Game vs. Inglemoor High School.
