A 1950s Stinson airplane landed in the field to the south of Lochsloy field last Saturday while kids were playing their first soccer game of the season.
Parents ran to help as they watched the plane crash into the field.
The beginning of the soccer season in Lake Stevens started out with more excitement than folks were expecting.
On Saturday, August 28 around 1:30 in the afternoon, a small 1950s era, single-engine Stinson airplane crashed into a field near Lochsloy field, just off of Highway 92 and 147th Ave. NE, about 100 yards away from soccer players and their families.
