Big week for Viking wrestlers at duals

The Lake Stevens wrestling team started their Wesco North league duals this past week on Wednesday, Jan. 12 against Stanwood High School.
The Vikings won 12 of the 14 matches for a 62-12 victory.
On Friday evening Lake Stevens faced Snohomish at Lake Stevens where the Viking wrestlers had another dominating performance winning 11 of the 13 matches for a 52-13 win.
Wrestling continued for the Vikings on Saturday, Jan. 8 as they traveled to Moses Lake for the Moses Lake Hall of Fame Duals.
Lake Stevens defeated Auburn 58-17, South Kitsap 38-33 and Mead 35-31.
The Vikes tied with Mead 31-31 going into the final match of the dual.
In that final match Lakes Cody Schlosser recorded a major decision over Mead in the 285 lb. match up to give the Vikings the team victory.
Lake Stevens improves to 11-1 on the season, 2-0 in League.
Lake Stevens will Wrestle Moses Lake at Cavelero Mid High on Friday, Jan. 14 at 5:45p.m.
